The Duke In The News
06/04/08 Sales Center Now Open
The Duke Townhomes and Flats in Old Town Alexandria.
OLD TOWN ALEXANDRIA, VA—6/4/2008
The Duke, a brand new neighborhood of Townhomes & Flats in Old Town Alexandria’s prestigious Historic District, is located along the 1300 block of Duke Street.
The Duke’s brand new sales center, now open daily from 11 am to 6 pm, is located a couple of blocks away at 118 N. Fayette Street.
One of the most exciting and helpful features of the Sales Center is a detailed scale model of The Duke. In addition to demonstrating the overall layout of the neighborhood, which features Townhomes and Flats connected by a landscaped courtyard, the model showcases the level of architectural detail incorporated into The Duke’s design.
“Because The Duke is located in the Historic District, our designs meet very strict architectural standards,” said Laurie Shultz, Director of Sales and Marketing for Marquis Homes. “We worked closely with Old Town’s Board of Architectural Review to ensure our homes are a natural extension of their historic surroundings.”
Marquis Homes, a member of the Van Metre Family of Companies, has opened The Duke’s Sales Center by offering a special incentive package exclusively for the first 10 homebuyers.
Among the incentives are “no condo fees for the first year, closing cost assistance, and a refrigerated wine cooler included with your kitchen,” said Shultz. “We’ve put together a Founder’s Club Package of incentives to thank our first 10 homebuyers and make it easier for them to become part of The Duke.” For complete incentive details and restrictions, visit The Duke’s Sales Center or call 703-837-0364.
The included features of The Duke are equally impressive. For starters, every single Townhome and Flat includes 2 parking spaces located in The Duke’s private-access underground garage. Another feature of The Duke that sets it apart from most condominium-style neighborhoods is its willingness to customize floorplans.
“Our heritage as a custom homebuilder allows us to offer a higher level of design flexibility than most townhome and condominium builders offer,” explained Shultz. “We can accommodate some pretty exciting requests, such as combining two adjoining flats, adding a second owner’s suite, and even reconfiguring certain aspects of our kitchens.”
Townhomes at The Duke are now selling from the high $700’s. Flats are now selling from the low $600’s. For more information, visit The Duke’s Sales Center at 118 N. Fayette Street.
