The Fitz at Rockville Town Center In The News
First Condos Debut At Rockville Town Center
The Fitz, a 187-unit luxury condominium in Rockville, is now open for sales. The one and two-bedroom homes, some with lofts and dens, are right on Route 355, and a very short distance from the new Rockville Town Center. They are the first condominium homes to begin sales around the Town Center development.
"Many of our designs are one bedroom plans," says Rami Rosen, Owner Representative at Elad Group Florida real estate firm that owns the property. "We expect to see a lot of the single professionals who want a home near the leading companies of the I-270 Technology Corridor as well as the Metro and all the shopping and dining available here."
Secure garage parking is another plus, at a location where parking is sure to be a premium when Rockville Town Center has its own debut in the fall of 2006. The Town Center development is a multi-phased plan of a mix of retail, restaurant, cultural, entertainment, residential and office uses. It is under construction now.
The name "The Fitz" comes from American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald, whose gravesite is just down the road at Rockville's historic St. Mary's Church. His books, particularly "The Great Gatsby," chronicled the history of the Roaring Twenties, a time of luxurious living and exuberant fun in America.
The Fitz definitely caters to a younger, highly educated and professional buyer. The home floorplans have designer touches such as island kitchens and gas fireplaces. The community offers a cyber café, cinema lounge, and well-equipped workout facilities. There's also a resort-style pool, concierge services and a landscaped courtyard. Elevators to each floor serve all the mid-rise homes. Prices begin at about $350,000, says Builder's First Choice, the area real estate services firm that is marketing the project.
